The Business Services Online Suite of Services allows organizations, businesses, individuals, employers, attorneys, non-attorneys representing Social Security claimants, and third-parties to exchange information with Social Security securely over the internet. You must register and create your own password to access Business Services Online.


With the recent government shutdown the Tax Year 2013 rollout is going to be delayed this year. We'll begin accepting Tax Year 2013 files on 12/23/2013, and Tax Year 2012 submissions can still be accepted until 12/20/2013. We expect the interval needed for the full downstream processing of submissions to be affected as well in 2014. There are no changes to the interface with SSA, but there are some changes to the EFW2 file format this year, those are up on the Social Security website at http://www.socialsecurity.gov/employer/EFW2&EFW2C.htm.

The Complete Phone Registration option is provided to individuals who began their Business Services Online registration by phone and need to create a password.
