Agreement Models: Mission Statement

The new 2010 Agreement Renewal Process is to ensure a national consistent, automated approach to the agreement renewals under the new Electronic Information Exchange (EIE) initiative. This process covers four types of agreements:

  • Computer Matching and Privacy Protection Act (CMPPA) - Agreement signed by high state level official, covering all (or a portion of) state agencies.
  • CMPPA(A) - Agreement signed by Agency level (if not obtained at state level) or tribal entities.
  • Information Exchange Agreement (IEA(F)) - Must have an associated CMPPA or CMPPA(A) - Used for Federally Funded and Section 1137 Programs.
  • IEA(S) - Stand-alone agreement - No CMPPA required. Used only for state-funded, state-administered, needs-based programs.
