H.R. 5773, to designate the Operations Building as the
“Robert M. Ball Federal Building”

On July 29, 2010, the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee reported favorably to the House, H.R. 5773, a bill that would designate a Federal building in Baltimore, MD, as the “Robert M. Ball Federal Building.”  The bill was introduced by Representative Elijah Cummings on July 19, 2010.

A substitute amendment by Representative Eleanor Holmes Norton that would add language to make clear that the building being designated is commonly known as the Social Security Administration Operations Building was adopted by voice vote.  The bill would be effective upon enactment.
