Even if you don't get benefits, you can use your my Social Security account to get a benefit verification letter if you:

  • Need a letter stating that you never received Social Security benefits, SSI, or Medicare;

  • Used to get benefits and you need a letter that says when your benefits stopped or how much you received that year; or

  • Applied for benefits but have not received an answer yet.
